StudySpark ("we", "our", "the app") is an AI-powered study helper built by Kinetic Intel. This page explains what information StudySpark collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Who we are
StudySpark is developed and maintained by Kinetic Intel, an independent developer based in India. StudySpark is provided free of charge, with no subscriptions or hidden fees.
2. Information we collect
Account information (only if you choose to sign in):
Email address
Username (if provided during sign up)
Authentication data managed via Google Sign-In or email/password (handled securely by Supabase, our authentication provider)
Study content you submit:
Notes, text, or topic details you type in to generate a quiz
Images you upload of notes or textbook pages (processed to generate quiz questions, not stored permanently on our servers beyond what is needed to generate your quiz)
Quiz history (only if signed in):
Quiz titles, questions, your answers, and scores — saved so you can view your history across devices
If you use StudySpark without signing in, no account data or quiz history is stored — your session data stays local to that use.
3. How we use your information
To generate personalized quizzes, notes, and study timetables using AI
To let you sign in and sync your quiz history across devices
To improve the accuracy and reliability of the app
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your study content for advertising.
4. Third-party services we use
Groq — processes the text or image you submit to generate quiz questions, summaries, or timetables. Submitted content is sent to Groq's API for this purpose only.
Supabase — provides authentication (email/password and Google Sign-In) and stores your account and quiz history if you choose to sign in.
Google Sign-In — if you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares your basic profile information (name, email) with StudySpark as permitted by your Google account settings.
5. Data storage and security
Account and quiz history data is stored securely using Supabase, with row-level security policies ensuring that each user can only access their own data. We do not have a mechanism to view your quiz history or personal notes as StudySpark staff.
6. Your choices and rights
You can use StudySpark without creating an account.
You can delete individual quiz history entries at any time from within the app.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at the email below.
7. Children's privacy
StudySpark is designed to be used by students of school and college age under the guidance of a parent, guardian, or teacher where appropriate. We do not knowingly collect more information from children than is necessary to provide the study features described above.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
